CONSTECH 2012 Post Show Report

IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., together with Thai Contractors Association Under His
Majesty The King Patronage, CMC Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., and IIR Exhibition Co., Ltd., jointly
organize Construction & Building Technology Week on 19-21 September 2012 at Hall 5-8 IMPACT
Exhibition and Convention Center.

Ms. Pornphan Bulner, Assistant Director, Exhibition Project, IMPACT Exhibition Management
Co., Ltd., said that “Construction & Building Technology Week is the latest concept for Thai construction
and building industry. We group 5 big shows in construction, green building, pool & spa, installation and
maintenance together under one roof. Construction & Building Technology Week, which take place
during 19-12 September 2012, will be the platform for professionals in construction and building industry
to meet face-to-face with world leading suppliers of construction and building machinery, equipment and
technology under one roof.”

“Construction & Building Technology Week comprises CONSTECH 2012 - Thailand’s largest
construction and mining machinery exhibition; GBR Expo Asia 2012 - Asia’s leading green building and
retrofit exhibition; INSTALL/PALME Thailand 2012 - the international showcase of cutting-edge audio
visual installation & integration technologies, Pool&SpaTech Asia 2012 - Southeast Asia’s dedicated
exhibition for pool and spa industry; and BMAM Expo Asia 2012 - the building maintenance and asset
management exhibition. These 5 shows are interrelated. Bringing them together will greatly benefit the
construction and building industry professionals,” said Ms. Pornphan.

Mr. Aungsuras Areekul, the president of the Thai Contractors Association Under H.M. The King’s
Patronage (TCA), the organizer of CONSTECH 2012 said that “we are excite about the upcoming
edition of CONSTECH which will under new professional management of IMPACT Exhibition
Management Co., Ltd. This major event including the exhibition and a business forum will bring together
contractors and professionals from the entire construction industry. In addition to being a perfect
marketplace for Thai contractors to buy and source new machinery and technology for their business,
CONSTECH will be also the education and networking forum to prepare Thai contractors for sustainable
growth toward AEC. The association plans to invite the members of the ASEAN Constructors Federation
for business matching and networking sessions.”
MARKET OVERVIEW

CONSTECH 2012 has been indentifies as Thailand’s Biggest Construction and Mining Machinery
Event gathering more than 300 companies and brands from around the world in the whole range of
construction and mining machinery and equipment and machinery for building material production while
more than 3,000 key buyers from Thailand’s and ASEAN’s construction and mining industry will visit the
event.

Thailand has the largest construction and mining industry in South East Asia. The growth prospect of
Thailand’s construction industry has got a major boost from the cabinet’s approval of USD26.7 billion
investments for 54 mega-projects aiming to improve the country’s overall infrastructure network.

The construction of ten electric train lines in Bangkok, which is scheduled to be completed by 2015, the
expansion of commercial seaports and Suvarnabhumi airport are among top priorities. Also in the
pipeline are rail routes connecting Bangkok and commercial provinces such as Chiang Mai, Nakhon
Ratchasima and Hua Hin as well as to major cities of its neighboring countries.

At the same time, the private sector’s construction projects continue to grow, thanks mainly to the
government’s residential property support scheme. The growth rate of high rise building in the second
quarter of 2011 was recorded at 3.2% year-on-year or totally 11,839 units.

As a result of positive factors, demands for construction machinery, equipment and technology are
expected to rise. CONSTECH 2012 will continue to serve as the perfect platform for construction and
mining professionals to learn about the latest technology and innovation.
