A one-sentence description of your project
My project is all about to give rural dwellers in my community the access to electric and internet facility through Solar
energy.
What is the problem you're addressing and why is it important? Why is now the best time to address it?
This is very important because many of our local farmers are very far to communication and electrification which were
categorized as part of basic need to enhance productivity in terms of food basket to our community. In view of this many
of these local farmers are now migrating to the urban centre leaving farming for few people to do and this can eventually
cause serious hunger which i intend to avert in my community as quickly as possible if given the opportunity.
What is your proposed solution? What makes it innovative and scalable (or big and bold)?
my proposed solution is to assist the local farmers install a centralized Solar energy in the village they are farming in
other to enable them have access to light, communication and adequate information as the case may be. Also, this will
encourage the private individuals from the urban centre to partner with me to establish primary health care center for the
farmer and their respective families. The project is innovative because:
1. when there is light the primary health care will be improved in operation if established.
2. Charging of their mobile phones will adequately enhance their communication
3. listening to information from TV or Cable TV will give them sense of belonging to a society.
Who will benefit from this solution (specific target population) and where are they located?
The major beneficiary of this project are mainly the local farmers who have no access to light and communication to
interface with entire people in the community.
The special target population is about 250 Household and they are located in the village 100 km far away from the urban
centre.
How does this idea build on, leverage, or connect with other existing initiatives, products, or services?
As mention earlier, the project have connection with other idea like establishment of the primary health care for the
farmers and their household through the solar energy to power many of the medical equipment, Charging of Mobile
phone for communication purposes and interfacing with entire society through the Media like cable TV.

If i am successful, the world will be better off because hunger will be reduced to minimum through exportable agricultural
produce provided by the local farmers and the better living of the these people will produce children of their like to follow
up agriculture as a career and use this to improve themselves and the entire world. Remember family becomes the nation
and nation translate to the people of the world.

The key milestones covered by this grant are:
1. Start date is 30th October, 2020 end dates for the project is 15th July, 2020
2. The project is deliverable to all the farmers upon the stakeholders approval of the completion of the project
3. Important meetings and presentations shall be major key to enhance the transparency of handling the project.

Note:
Based on my research, this could produce an estimated 350 to 850 kilowatt hours (kWh) of alternating current (AC)
power per month, assuming at least 5 sun hours per day with the solar array facing South.
What will be achieved by the end of the nine-month grant period? How will you know if you're
successful?
Direct interview shall be conducted from the farmers and the positive responses as regards the performance and
effectiveness of the Solar system that gear towards their life improvement will be the yard to know the success of the
proposed project.

What makes me and my team to have this aspiration is to make life easier for our local farmer so as to encourage them to
increase their productivity in agricultural produce, self reliance and avert rural urban migration which may tends to
overpopulation in the urban centre in the nearest future.
