Human Resource Management plays a central role to the success of the organisations/
institutions. One of the key functions in human resource management is reward and
compensation. To enable this function (reward and compensation), the responsible
officers prepare a payroll, though if the process is not well managed, it is marred by
mistakes.
a) Identify the different offices that are involved in the process of pay roll preparation
and the roles that each of them plays. (8 Marks)
b) Highlight the common mistakes that are committed in the process of payroll
preparation while highlighting how these are rectified. (10 Marks)
c) Draft a sample of the pay roll of an organisation that has a minimum of 5 (five)
employees some of whom have SACCO contributions, salary advance and loans.

employee file showing the relevance of this information to Human Resource Management.
