APPLICATIONS GUIDELINES / INFORMATION

 These posts are tenable under both IST Contract and HEC Tenure Track System (TTS)
 All the posts are Islamabad based except for the posts in the field of Remote Sensing & Geo-Information
Science which are based in Islamabad and Karachi both
 Test / Interview / Presentation for all the posts will be conducted only in IST, Islamabad except for the Karachi
based posts in the field of Remote Sensing & Geo-Information Science, for which test / interview /
presentation may be held in both Islamabad & Karachi on the choice of the candidates
 The candidates wishing to apply for the posts in the field of Remote Sensing & Geo-Information Science
should clearly mention their preferred choice in respect of Islamabad / Karachi in the Campus / City column
of the IST Faculty Application Form
 IST offers attractive remuneration package / facilities as per HEC Tenure Track System and IST Contract rules
and regulations / statutes
 Candidates should have excellent written, communication and presentation skills with a serious commitment
to teaching and research
 Only short listed candidates as per merit would be called for test / interview / presentation
 If a large number of applications are received for any post then only the best suitable candidates would be
called for test / interview / presentation
 Compliance to eligibility criteria for any post does not guarantee shortlisting for test / interview /
presentation
 Employees of Govt. / Semi Govt. / Autonomous Organizations should apply “Through Proper Channel”
 IST reserves the right to fill in, reduce, postpone or cancel recruitment / induction on any or all advertised
posts at any stage / time without assigning any reason thereof
 IST reserves the right to reject any or all of the applications received for the posts without assigning any
reason thereof
 Completely filled and duly signed forms along with detail updated CVs, attested photocopies of degrees /
certificates / final transcripts / marks sheets from matric onwards, experience certificates and detail list of
research publications in HEC recognized journals i.e. only W category (Impact Factor) journals, CNIC, recent
passport size photograph and other documents (if any) required to support the candidate’s eligibility for the
applied post should be sent to the address mentioned below
 Ex-armed forces personnel should also submit attested photocopies of their armed forces discharge
certificate / release / retirement order along with their application forms
 Incomplete applications and those sent through email would not be processed further / considered
 Please mark the position applied for on the right hand side of the envelope
 TA / DA will not be admissible for appearing in the test / interview / presentation
