• People use specific jargon and


vocabulary in different professions.

Examples:

Flip flopper: A candidate or politician who changes
his mind on certain important issues over time

Code Eight - Term that means officer needs help

Code Eleven - A code that means the individual is at
the scene of the crime

Assumed room temperature: An individual has died
