Crochet terms and
abbreviations
The pattern is worked using US Crochet
Terms. Conversions to UK terms are shown
below in parentheses:
• ch – chain (UK=chain)
• mr – magic ring (UK=magic ring)
• sc – single crochet (UK=double crochet)
• dc – double crochet (UK=treble crochet)
• sl – slip stitch (UK=slip stitch)
• inc(sc) – increase in single crochet
(UK=increase in double crochet)
• dec(sc) – decrease in single crochet
(UK=decrease in double crochet)
• fo – fasten off (UK=fasten off)
Final size
About 8.5 in. (22 cm.) tall.

Supplies
• Sport weight yarn in colors:
o Light Gray - 140 yards/128
meters (I used: El Gato “Meta” yarn
in color 46J84C).
o Black - 2 yards/1.8 meters (I
used: El Gato “Meta” yarn in
color 4699B).
o White - 10 yards/9 meters (I
used: El Gato “Meta” yarn in color
4600P).
• 2.5 mm. crochet hook
• 2 (8 mm.) safety eyes
• Yarn needle and stitch markers
• Scissors
• White felt and silicon or glue
• Stuffing material of your choice
Notes
• This pattern uses US Crochet Terms.
• The toy is worked from the bottom to the
top, starting with the legs and finishing
with the head.
• I like to crochet amigurumis and dolls
very tight, so it can keep its shape.
• You can make a bigger toy by using a
larger size of hook or by using a thicker
yarn. If you use worsted weight yarn and
a 4.00 mm. hook (instead of sport weight
yarn and a 2.5 mm. hook) your toy will
measure about 12 in. (30.5 cm.) tall.

PATTERN

Legs, body and head

Use light gray yarn. Work in rounds,
without joining the rounds. Use a stitch
marker so you know where a round
begins. Stuff legs, body and head firml y,
stuffing as you go.

Leg 1:
Round 1: Work 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: Inc(sc) in every stitch (12)
R3-14: Sc around (12)
FO.
Leg 2:
Work Leg 2 exactl y as Leg 1, but do not
fasten off. Make 10 chains and join to Leg
1 with a single crochet.
Continue making single crochet all
around Leg 1 (12 stitches), single crochet
in each stitch of chain (10 stitches),
single crochet all around Leg 2 (12
stitches) and now work in the other side
of the chain, making a single crochet in
each stitch (10 stitches).
So we just made a round of single
crochet around both legs and both sides
of the chain. You should have a total of 44
stitches now (12 stitches of each leg, and
10 stitches of each side of the chain).

PATTERN
Arms
Use light gray yarn. Work in rounds
without joining the rounds. Use a stitch
marker so you know where a round
begins. Stuff the hands firml y, and stuff
arms less and less, until you almost
don’t stuff the upper p art of the arm.
Fl atten the opening of the arm and sew it
together. Then, attach arms.

Nose
Use black yarn and work in rounds,
joining the rounds with a slip stitch.

Join to first sc from round with a slip
stitch.
FO. Leave a long tail to sew to the face.
Tail
Use light gray yarn and work in rounds,
without joining the rounds. Use a stitch
marker so you know where a round
begins.

PATTERN
Ears
Use light gray yarn and work in rounds
without joining the rounds. Don’t stuff.

R4-6: Sc around (18)
FO. Flatten ears. Leave a long tail to
sew to the sides of the head. Cut a
semicircle made from white felt and
paste it (or sew) to the ears.

Use white yarn and work in rounds,
joining the rounds with a slip stitch.

Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6). Join to 1st sc
from round with a slip stitch. Chain 1.
R2: Inc(sc) in every stitch (12). Join to 1st
sc from round with a slip stitch. Chain 1.
R3: [1 sc, 1 inc(sc)] x6 (18). Join to 1st sc
from round with a slip stitch. Chain 1.
R4: [2 sc, 1 inc(sc)] x6 (24). Join to 1st sc
from round with a slip stitch. Chain 1.
