CONCLUSION

As a conclusion, there are 47 students from Faculty of Engineering, UPM that have
responded to the healthy eating habits survey. From the survey, there are 87.2% female that
responded while male is 12.8%. For the race, 89.4% is from Malay, 8.5% from Chinese and
2.1% from Kadazan. All the students that responded to the survey are in between 20 to 25 years
old. 72.3% students answered that it is very important to them to eat healthy and 38.8%
responded maybe for the question ‘During the last 6 months, would you say you’re healthier than
before? ’. It is not difficult and not easy for the students to get five daily servings of fruits and
vegetables as the highest result is in the range of three which is 38.3%. 70.2% students preferred
fruits rather than vegetables and 63.8% rarely have a fruit smoothie. The results also show the
same percentage for answer no and maybe which is 36.2% for students who read nutrition
information materials provided by restaurants. Other than that, 46.8% students read the nutrition
facts labels on grocery items. It can be conclude that students from Faculty of Engineering, UPM
did not very concern about their healthy eating habits in their lifestyle.
