    From a membrane filtration experiment, the flux values at 5 minutes for inlet pressures of 2, 3, 4, and 5 bar were measured to be 12.500 ×10−6, 10.970 ×10−6, 8.333 ×10−6, and 8.611 ×10−6 m/s respectively. For all inlet pressures, the flux decreased over time due to the increasing thickness of the cake layer on the membrane.     CONCLUSION

    From the experiment, the value of flux at the first 5 minutes at inlet pressure of 2 bar, 3

    respectively. For graph of flux versus time at all inlet pressure, it can be seen that value of flux
    decreases with time. This is because with increasing time, the thickness of cake layer also
    increases. For Brix versus time at all inlet pressure, Brix does not have significance change due to
    flux could become independent of pressure if the pressure is beyond a critical point. In conclusion,
    flux is proportional to the volume of filtrate and inversely proportional to the membrane area and
    time.
