ESP-1 DPSI Delays & Constraints

 Starting Structural Material Supply Delay In ESP Unit-1:-

• Duration 10th Feb-19 To 10th Mar-19:-

KE mobilized manpower and resources for the erection works from 1st February-19 onwards, however we got
structures materials supply from DPSI starting from 11th March-19. This was in continuation to the material
delivery schedule shared and confirmed by DPSI team to provide erectable structures supply from 10th Feb-19.
Hence marking a starting material supply delay of 30 days
• Intimation submitted through our letter KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/093 Dated 13-06-19
• Intimation submitted through our letter KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/148 Dated 18-03-20

 Non-Sequential Structural Material Supply Received :-

• KE received non sequential structural material supply since start of work in Mar-19.

1. Columns were received in non-sequential, mixed lot pattern starting to match from Pass F -D -C -B -A -
E, compelling us to take patch by patch erection, scattered all along the work front with none of these
passes getting completion in totality.
2. Beams were received in non-sequential, mixed lot pattern, starting from Pass B -D -E -C -A -F for
connecting columns compelling us to take patch by patch erection, scattered all along the work front
with none of the passes getting completion in totality. On many occasions non-erectable supply was
received in passes, whose matching columns were not supplied in time and beams were supplied,
compelling us to wait for receiving correct sequential matching structural supply.
 3. Bracings supply started in june-19 month forcing us to wait since Mar-19 for starting interconnection of
beam & columns matrix.
4. Above all erection & interconnection sequence was totally disturbed due to unplanned material supply
by DPSI. We never received a complete batch of columns-beams-bracings matching to an individual pass
A To F.
5. Time an again we marked, to receive columns of a individual pass in one month, its matching beams
after two months and bracing after next two months. Erection site was never being fully open to expand
on its full erection capacity due to above pit holes in structural supply.
6. Slide bearing supply started receiving from Nov-19 month, delaying alignment of erected structures in
pass A & B
7. Ridge beams and gable inlet & outlet were short supplied and still under requirement till March-20 in
balance passes.

 Structural Material Outage:-

• Duration 1st May To 22nd May-19:-

KE was left with structural material supply outage in above mentioned duration , putting our complete
resources and manpower under idling which we have communicated vide mails to concerned execution
package in charge hence marking a supply outage of 22 days.

During above mentioned durations and having genuine reasons, our erection resources (Staff
establishment, Erection Team, Crawler Crane, Manlifter, Hydra & Trailor ) were forced to stand under
idling for want of erectable structural items.

• Duration 13th Sep To 30th Sep-19:-

Short supply of columns-beams-bracings totalling 183.255 MT was intimated thorough our letter
KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/115 Dated 13-09-2019, Qty 183.255 MT

During above mentioned durations and having genuine reasons, our assembly & erection was hampered
for want of erectable structural items.

• Duration 26th Dec To 14th Mar-20:-

Time to time short supply of ridge beams-inlet gable-outlet gable was intimated thorough our letter
KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/133 Dated 26-12-2019, KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/134 Dated 06-01-20,
KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/139 Dated 29-02-20, KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/146 Dated 14-03-20 Qty 88.24 MT

During above mentioned durations and having genuine reasons, our assembly & erection was hampered
for want of erectable structural items.

 Space Non Availability For Assembly Of Structures:-

• Space requirement at erection site for assembly of casing frames was continuously perused for
availability and was intimated thorough our letter KE/JVUNL/DPSI/SITE/139 Dated 29-02-20
