Floods do have some advantages such as it fertile the land with alluvium which make it great for future
agricultural works on the land. Many kind of crops are present which need a certain depth of water and
for farming that kinds of crops the flood is an advantage.

2. Suppose, you are a meteorologist. Enlist 3 unique ways that the government can follow to tackle
the flood problem.

1. Afforestation can be increased in severe flood prone area. This will allow more water to be
soaked in and reduce the chance of severe flooding
2. Dams can be created on the rivers so that when rain falls heavily the river doesn’t overflow.
3. Another way to decrease flood caused damage is by constructing building over flood levels. This
way it’s harder for the flood to damage buildings and houses.
