Present Continuous Tense - Sadašnje trajno vreme

Ovim vremenom iskazujemo radnju koja se dešava u trenutku kada o njoj govorimo. Radnja je počela u
nekom trenutku u prošlosti, traje u tenutku dok o njoj govorimo, i trajaće još neko vreme u budućnosti.

Građenje

Za ovo vreme nam je potreban odgovarajući oblik pomoćnog glagola to be u sadašnjem vremenu (am, is
ili are) i jedan glagol sa nastavkom -ing.

Ukoliko se glagol završava slovom -e, obrisaćemo ga prilikom dodavanja nastavka,

come+ing=coming, to pravilo se ne primenjuje ukoliko se glagol završava sa -ee, (see+ing=seeing)

Potvrdna rečenica:

1. I am playing basketball. 2. John is wearing a hat. 3. You are making a cake.

Odrična rečenica (Gradi se tako što između pomoćnog i glavnog glagola dodamo rečcu not):

I am not playing basketball. 2. John is not wearing a hat. 3. You are not making a cake.

Upitan oblik (Gradi se tako što pomoćnom glagolu i subjektu zamenimo mesta):

1. Am I playing basketball? 2. Is John wearing a hat? 3. Are you making a cake?

Skraćeni oblici:

She is dancing. = She's dancing.

He is not selling. = He isn't selling.

You are swimming. = You're swimming.

We are not running. = We aren't running.

Najčešće vremenske odrednice koje upotrebljavamo uz ovo vreme su now(sada) i at the moment (u
ovom trenutku):

I am playing basketball at the moment.

She is reading a book now.

Present Simple Tense - Sadašnje prosto vreme
Kada govorimo o navikama, običajima, činjenicama, rutinama...

Potvrdan oblik:

I/You/We/They play basketball (Radnja se ne dešava u trenutku kada o njoj govorimo)

He/She/It drinks milk (Ukoliko je subjekat u trećem licu jednine, glagol dobija nastavak -s ili -es, npr. go-
goes )

Odričan oblik:

I/You/We/They don't live in London

He/She/It doesn't live in London (Ukoliko u rečenici imamo does ili doesn't, glagol ne dobija nastavak -s!)

Upitan oblik:

Do you You/We/They/I go to school? -Yes, I do / No, I don't

Does He/She/It go to school? -Yes, she does / No, she doesn't

Vremenske odrednice:

Da bismo naglasili koliko često se radnja ponavlja koristimo: always, never, sometimes, usually, every
day... ove reči se uvek nalaze ispred glagola:

I always drink orange juice / He sometimes rides his bike / We never go to school on Sundays

Continuous: I am drinking coffee (Pijem kafu u ovom trenutku)

Simple: I drink coffee (Volim da pijem kafu, ali to ne radim sada)
