Step 1: Write about your favorite thing. Use the model and your answers from the previous
activity to help you.

Step 2: Copy your descriptions. Go to Blog. Select New post. Type the title My Favorite Thing and
paste your sentences into the Description. Select Add.

Step 3: Read about your classmates’ favorite things. Go to Blog and select All posts. Look for
posts with the title My Favorite Thing. Choose two classmates’ descriptions, and ask them
questions for more information.

Example

My Favorite Thing
My favorite thing is my bag. It’s from Cuzco, Peru. I think it’s three or four years old. It’s purple,
white, and yellow. I love it!

In the real world — In style

Step 1: What’s in style? Find a picture of clothing online or in a magazine. Describe the clothes
and their colors.

Step 2: Copy your response. Go to Forum, Unit 3, In the real world, In style. Select Reply and
paste your response. Then select Add.

Step 3: Read your classmates’ posts in the forum. Choose two of your classmates’ posts, click
Reply, and leave a comment or ask a question.

In Style
What’s in style? Find a picture of clothing online or in a magazine. Describe the clothes and their
colors. Answer these questions in your response:
1. Where is the picture from? (Include the name of the website or magazine.)
2. What clothing items are in the picture?
3. What colors are the clothing items?

Example:

My picture is from Style Today. The woman’s sweater is blue. Her pants are brown, and her shoes
are black. Her bag is . . .
