The schedule of the observational practice and the chosen grades must be informed to your
teacher in the e-portfolio. This space is going to be so important during this course because
in that space will be used as our logbook. (The link to access to the e-portfolio will be sent
to your institutional email).

Step 3

From the very beginning of your observational practice you must fill the following forms:

Plan de Trabajo form: This form must be filled at the beginning of your practice, in this
form, you must register the dates of your observation and other important criteria. This
form must be signed by the student and the teacher from the academic institution and
UNAD´s one.

Diario de Campo form: allows to systematically capture of the observations, experiences,

and perceptions they have of the participating actors in the development of pedagogical
practice.

Formato de Asistencia al Lugar de Practica: this form is to register the attendance to

the observation practice, it needs to have the dates, length of time, and the signature of the
supervisor (teacher, academic coordinator or principal) in the institution where you will be
developing your practice. The dates you register in this form must match with the ones you
include in Plan de Trabajo form.

Photo and material evidence: Take some pictures of your observation and save evidence
of the support you give to carry out the classes or the material you have created for the
classes (Please avoid taking pictures of the kids).

You can find all the forms in the following link:

Step 4

To respond to the quality criteria required by pedagogical and educational practice,

established in Resolution 18583 of 2017, among the strategies developed by the ECEDU,
define the "Face-to-face Accompaniment Strategy of the ESAPEC School of Education
Sciences" which consists in a certain number of face-to-face accompaniments to groups of

2
student practitioners, at UNAD headquarters, in the interaction of graduates in training and
practice teachers of ECEDU of each site, as established by the criteria of pedagogical and
didactic order of each course and in correspondence with the number of contact hours in
the practice setting, which establishes a total of 3 hours for this course.

In this context, students must fulfill 3 additional hours in the framework of the
"ESAPEC ECEDU Face-to-Face Accompaniment Strategy" which will be linked to the Phase
4 Observational Practice Step 3 activity and their participation is Mandatory.

The director of the course will inform the timetable for this activity. Moreover, this activity
will be developed online during the established time.

You must register your name and signature in Formato de Asistencia a Sesión del
Componente Practico. Your teacher will provide this form after you attend this strategy.

Watch the following video where a group of teachers talks about the importance of the
assessment in the learning process:

https://youtu.be/uEuomMyhMRc

After watching the video, and listened to those teachers talking about the importance of
the assessment.

Record a video, making no more than two minutes reflection about why is important the
assessment in the learning process?

In the same video you will take 2 minutes more to solve the following question about this
case study:

Can you advise this teacher?

Rahul and Priya are doing a teacher training course. They were asked to correct writing (an
advertisement for a pet) and give feedback.

Reflection

• What are the strengths and weaknesses of each teacher’s marking?

• What advice would you give Rahul and Priya?
• Neither Rahul nor Priya corrected the error on line 3 (play a ball). Why do you think that
is?
• If you were the teacher of this learner, which type of error would you choose to focus on
in class? Why?
• How do you usually correct writing? Do you do anything the same as Rahul and Priya?
