Self-Checking Puzzles
Store these two puzzles
separately in Ziploc bags. Cut down
the middle of the page to separate
the puzzles (top goes with top of
next page, bottom goes with
bottom of next page).

Cut apart ONLY the pieces with


words (pg. 22). Students will lay the
pieces with words on top of the
base with pictures. Puzzles are
self-checking since, when complete,
the image will be correct.

rhyming words and solving unknown
words together.

Students will then complete the
