JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT 
OF 
SENIOR POLICE OFFICER I BOY DUMAGUETE

I, SENIOR POLICE OFFICER BOY DUMAGUETE, 45 years old,

married, residing at Calanipawan Road, V&G Subdivision, Tacloban City, after
having been sworn to in accordance with the law do hereby depose and state: 

That Prosecutor Patrick Hidalgo is the Counsel who conducted and

supervised my examination as a witness at the Office of the Prosecutor
at Tacloban City; 

That I am answering the questions herein fully conscious that I do so under

oath and that I may be criminally liable for false testimony or perjury; 

The following are the questions propounded by Prosecutor Patrick

Hidalgo and my answers in English language: 
 

Q1: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth? 
A1: Yes Sir. 
 
Q2: Are you the same Boy Dumaguete, the assigned police investigator in this
case for homicide now pending before the Regional Trial Court, Branch 9 of
Tacloban City? 
A2:   Yes Sir. 
 
Q3: On November 21, 2020 at around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, where were
you? 
A3: I was at the Police Headquarters at the Tacloban City Sir. 
 
Q4: What were you doing then? 
A4: I was checking the police blotter that was recorded on that day when suddenly
the telephone of the headquarters rang and one Elai Estrada, one of the witnesses
in this case, reported through the phone call that an incident occured at her store
near the City Stop located at Calanipawan Road, Tacloban City.
 
Q5: What did you do after receiving that information through the phone call? 
A5: I immediately went to the vicinity indicated by the witness Sir. 
 
Q6: What was the situation when you arrived at the place of incident? 
A6: When I arrived, there were many people surrounding the store and the victim
Alexi Granados was already unconscious and was being taken by the rescuers to
the ambulance vehicle. 
 
Q7: What did you do afterwards? 
A7: I conducted my investigation. I made a sketch on the position of the victim
when he was laying on the road unconcious and marked the large stone which was
used in mauling the victim. I also asked Elai Estrada, who happens to be the owner
of the karenderia, on what transpired on that place.
 
Q8: What did she say? 
A8: She said that when Alexi was heading out of the karenderia, she saw
Teddyboy and Daboy approaching her husband.  
 
Q9: Then, what happened next? 
A9: She said that at first, they were just talking when suddenly Daboy pushed
Alexi on the ground and Teddyboy held Alexi’s arms at his back. Then Daboy
kicked and punched Alexi then finally mauling his head with a large rock which
made him unconscious. Then she said that the two ran away afterwards.
 
Q10: I am showing to you a rock. Is this the same rock that you held in custody as
the one which was used against the victim? 
A10: Yes Sir that is the one. 
  
Q11: Do you have anything more to say, Mr. Boy Dumaguete? 
A11: No more Sir.
