Answer the following question briefly and substantially.

1) Discuss the importance of ethics in the practice of your profession.

-Ethics is important in hospitality management because ethics helps how to deal with
humans and also helps to deal when it comes to decision. Ethical practices may increase the
company’s profits, establishing customer loyalty, and creating trust with suppliers. Because
its important in hospitality management if you know how to deal with your customers right.
In that way, customer helps you to promote your business. Ethical principles include honest,
trustworthiness, fairness and keeping promises that you can apply in my profession.

2) Write essay entitled, “ The ultimate end of my life”

THE ULTIMATE END OF MY LIFE IS HAVING THE ETERNITY LIFE.

Because for me eternity life is the last part of our lives, that is with God. But before I go to
that ultimate end I just want to do the parts of my ultimate end and that is achieving my
dreams for my family. I always say to my-self that I will do my best to achieve all the dreams
of parents that they did not achieve because they use their life in work to be able give us the
best. I want to give them the best in life because they deserve it. I want also to know more
about my purpose in life. I want to use my-self to inspire others. If all of that will happen I
would be the happiest person who will go to the eternity life because I know that I’ve done
on my responsibilities as a human.

LEARNING ACTIVITY 2.1

1) Discuss the concept of cultural relatively?


- Is refers to not judging a culture to or own standards of what is right or wrong,
strange or normal. Instead, we should try to understand cultural practices of other
groups its own cultural context.
2) What is corporate culture?
- The corporate culture guides how the company act, feel, and think.is also the social
and psychological environment of an organization. It is symbolizes the unique
personality of a company and expresses the core values, ethics, behaviors, and beliefs.
3) Give and discuss the five tenets of cultural relativism?
- Instead of thinking, ‘ fried crickets are disgusting

LEARNING ACTIVITY 2.2

1) What are the stages of moral development? Discuss each.


- Kohlberg defined three levels of moral development; pre conventional,
conventional and post conventional.
- Pre conventional level a child’s sense of morality is externally controlled. Children
accept and believe the rules of authority, figures, such as parents and teachers and
they judge an action based on its consequences.
- Conventional level an individual’s sense of morality is tied to personal and societal
relationships. Children continue to accept the rules of authority figures, but this is
now because they believe that this is necessary to ensure positive relationships and
societal order.
- Post conventional level a person’s sense of morality is defined in terms of more
abstract principles and values. People now believe that some laws are unjust and
should be changed or eliminated.
2) Cite one example based from your experience and apply the different stages of
moral development.
- (Pre conventional) Before I want to go watch fiestas at night, but I don’t want my
father got mad on me so I didn’t go.
- (Conventional) watching fiestas is normal to everyone especially to the fiestas on
your barangay, but I don’t want to hurt my father for not following his rules.
- (Post conventional) for me I just want to watch and experiencing watching fiestas in
my life but the right thing to do is to follow my parents even I want it so much to
watch because I know that their reason why they not give the permission is for my
safety because I’m a girl and also a teen.

Case analysis answer.

In that case, I will certainly ask for help for those who are in the other safe boat. I’ll pursue
them if they could take turns to be in our sinking boat so that my company wouldn’t be so
tired in scooping waters. In the name of camaraderie, I would ask even my best friend to
convince everyone in his team to help us in saving everyone in our boat. In time, there will
be a possible solution that can be formulate once our critical thinking and adrenaline rush
took place.
