Introduction
 Visual effects (VFX) is the process by which imagery is created or
manipulated outside the context of a live action shot in film making

 Visual effects involve the integration of live action footage and

generated imagery to create environments which look realistic.

 VFX are special effects used to give depth to the visual representation
of the story.
Current Scenario Overview World
 World's first CGI was created for the 1982 movie Tron . Toy Story,
released in 1995.

 Movies like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Pacific Rim, Avengers:
Age of Ultron , Bahubali have pushed VFX to a new height.

 More than 90% of films releasing today has a Special or Visual Effects

Background
Elaboration of different types

These are the types in VFX used in animation:

Animation
Green screen
CGI (Computer Generated Imagery)
Simulation FX
Animation

It is a technique of art that creates an object in 3

dimensional space which causes pictures or images
to look like they are moving so that when
manipulated later on looks real
Green screen

It is a key role playing act in VFX while in movie

shooting as green screen basically lets you drop in
whatever background images you want behind the
actor. When a background is not available like a
fictional , alien, historic or even hard to access
location green screens is used
CGI (Computer Generated Imagery)

It is an essential part of VFX which is the acronym

of computer generated imagery which is created
digitally within the computer graphics that can be
used in films, media.
Simulation FX

Video games, there might be hardly 1 or 2 out of

billion who does not know about it, everyone of us
grew up playing video games. Simulation FX is the
key to happiness till adults that is used to develop
our favorite video games where in the movements
of object in real time. Along with video games, it is
also used in films and computer graphics.
Current scenario in Nepal
 Careers in animation have been experiencing explosive growth since
last few decades in the international market and since last 5 to 10 years
in Nepalese market

 “Kagbeni” was the first Nepali movie shot using a digital camera and
visual effects.

 There is lack of support on Nepalese artists which is the main reason

of Nepalese movie industry behind today.
Implementation
Idea of implementation
 Can be implemented in entertainment industry
like movies, video games.

VFX plays best role to make whole the film realistic

and it is very important because there are many
scenes that can’t be performed by actors .

Helpful in developing movie industry in Nepal

Plan of implementation
 For the better implementation of VFX we should use the
green light technology, graphics, CGI, simulation.

 These features of VFX should be used for the making of

different films like Action, Animation, Science-Fiction,
historic films to make it realistic.

 VFX should be used for the development of movie industry

and a better response and respect for Nepali actors
Conclusion
 A key to development in movies.

 VFX not only brings these things to a whole new label

but also provides a new satisfaction to entertainment.

 The demand for animation, VFX and gaming has

expanded with the increase in targeted broadcasting
hours by cable and satellite TV, availability of low cost
internet access, penetration of mobile devices along
with the growing popularity of streaming video.
Future Escalation
 The total value of global animation industry was
US $244 billion in 2017 and is expected to reach US
$ 270 billion in 2020
In near future VFX can only be a possible option
that may meet the desire wants of people.
Has a great scope in future which can provide
employment to millions , can develop career of
many people too.
