SNAP 2020
SNAP 2020 (Symbiosis National Aptitude Paper) is a national level MBA Entrance test. The SNAP 2020 Exam is
conducted for admission into the colleges which come under the Symbiosis group including SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, etc.
The conducting body for the SNAP 2020 Exam is Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU). Owing to the COVID
crisis, the SNAP 2020 exam will be conducted thrice this year - once in December (20th December) and twice in January
(6th and 9th January). According to SNAP 2020 Noti cation, the candidates will be eligible to appear for the SNAP 2020
Exam twice at dates of their choosing. The SNAP 2020 registration process began on 24th September 2020 and will
continue till 28th November 2020.
The SNAP 2020 O cial Mock was released over the weekend. A few of the major highlights regarding the same is given

Due to the change in the SNAP 2020 Exam Pattern, Symbiosis has decided to release an o cial SNAP 2020 Mock. The
main function of the SNAP 2020 O cial Mock is to give aspirants an idea regarding the User Interface of the exam so
that they do not face any issues during the actual SNAP 2020 Exam. Some of the highlights of the SNAP 2020 O cial

Mock are:
 The number of questions were according to the o cial SNAP 2020 Exam Pattern i.e. General English (15 Questions),
Analytical & Logical Reasoning (25 Questions) and Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Su ciency (20
Questions)
 While there is an overall time limit of 60 minutes, there is no sectional time limit
 Candidates do not get the option of moving across sections. They need to End the section and submit it in order to
move to the next section
 Moving across questions within the section will be permitted in the SNAP 2020 Exam
 The marking scheme is as noti ed in the SNAP 2020 Exam Pattern i.e. +1 for each correct answer and -0.25 for each
incorrect attempt.
Highlights of SNAP 2020
Students who are planning to appear for SNAP this year should keep in mind that the registration for SNAP 2020 has
already begun and the last date to apply for SNAP 2020 is 28th November 2020. Students are required to register for the
examination online before the mentioned deadline in order to provide themselves with ample preparation time. As the
GK section has been removed from the SNAP 2020 exam, students should devote their particular focus to other sections
of the paper. Also, candidates should abide by the registration guidelines and attest their eligibility before lling up the
application form. The candidate failing to meet the eligibility criteria would not be allowed to take the examination.
SNAP aspirants need to manage their time effectively when it comes to gearing up for the examination. Also, they need
to work in accordance with the relevant syllabus and the sectional time limit that is allotted during the paper. The
duration of SNAP 2020 will be 60 minutes. Candidates can give SNAP on 20th December 2020 (Sunday) or 6th January
2020 (Wednesday) or 9th January 2020 (Saturday). Students also have an option of retaking SNAP in case they were not
fully satis ed with their initial attempt. SNAP retake is only allowed once. So, a candidate can attempt SNAP twice.
Better out of two attempts will be considered for admission of the candidate. SNAP is a non-adaptive exam, and there
are no sectional cut-offs, but an overall examination cut off. Also, So, the percentile of a candidate would only depend on
one factor, i.e. the number of questions answered correctly, regardless of the di culty level of the questions.
Let us now analyze the SNAP 2020 exam pattern and the score calculation strategy.

 SNAP exam is administered by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University

 The SNAP paper consists of three sections, viz General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Su ciency,
Analytical and Logical Reasoning
 The SNAP 2020 paper will consist of only MCQs this year with 4 options per question.
 The total number of questions for the SNAP 2020 Exam will be 60.
 Each incorrect attempt incurs a penalty of 25% of the marks allotted to the question
 There is no individual time limit for each section
 Movement across sections is expected to be allowed
SNAP 2020 Exam Pattern
SNAP exam is an online test which comprises 3 sections - General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning,
Verbal Ability; Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Su ciency; Analytical and Logical Reasoning. The overall test
duration is 60 minutes.
The SNAP Exam Pattern underwent a change in 2018 with the introduction of Non MCQ (special) type questions. In
2019 again there was a slight change in the paper pattern with respect to the marking scheme and break up of
questions. SNAP 2020 has introduced yet another element by reducing the time limit of the exam and shu ing the
number of questions.
There is no sectional time limit in the paper and movement across sections is permitted. Students can choose the order
in which they wish to attempt the paper. The SNAP 2020 Exam will have only MCQs.
There will be a total of 60 questions in the SNAP 2020 Exam with the marking scheme being a reward of 1 mark for each
correctly solved question and a penalty of 0.25 marks for each error.

SNAP 2020: Key Points about Exam Pattern
For SNAP 2020, the test taker has to answer 60 questions within a time frame of 1 hour i.e 60 minutes. Earlier there
used to be four sections in SNAP and the paper was conducted in a written format. As of 2017, SNAP has been altered
into an online computer-based test. Moreover, the SNAP 2020 exam pattern will be slightly different from the 2019 SNAP
exam pattern, as the governing authorities had obliterated the GK section.
Key factors to consider while understanding the nature of the paper pattern:
 Please note that the SNAP 2020 test will be a computer-based test.
 The exam Is likely to be held on 20th December 2020, 6th January 2020 and 9th January 2020
 The questions will be only in the Multiple choice based format Candidate should choose an appropriate response out
of four given responses.
 For each section, a correct answer will receive 1 mark.

SNAP 2020 Eligibility Criteria
1. Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of:
50% - Gen
45% - SC/ST
2. Students in their nal year can also apply but their admission is subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks
(45% for SC/ST candidates)
3. A candidate having completed his qualifying degree from a foreign university is required to submit an equivalence
certi cate from the Association of Indian Universities to be eligible
SNAP 2020 Registration Process
The SNAP 2020 registration process has began on 24th September 2020 and will continue till 28th November 2020. The
exam will be held on 20th December 2020 as well as 6th and 9th January 2021, as per the SNAP 2020 Noti cation, with
the students eligible to appear twice.
The overall registration process is quite straightforward. It consists of the initial registration which requires your
personal details such as:

 Date of Birth
 Phone Number
 Category & Nationality
 Preferred test taking dates & cities
 Photograph
The next stage of the SNAP 2020 Registration is the payment which can be done via BillDesk or Easebuzz Gateway or
through Netbanking or Demand Draft. Following this, you need to ll the Registration Form 2 to complete the SNAP 2020
Registration process.
SNAP 2020: Steps to Register for the exam
Follow the below mentioned steps in order to register successfully for SNAP 2020:
 Visit SNAP 2020 online registration

 A registration window will open in front of you. Complete the form and put in all the necessary details regarding your
personal memorandum I.e Date of Birth, Cell Phone number, email ID, Social Category and preferred test cities.
 Save the form after uploading your scanned photograph which should be atmost 3 months old. The size of the photo
should be between 10 KB and 100 KB and the format should be .jpg, .jpeg, .png
 Click on submit and enter the OTP you received on your registered mobile number in message box.
 Open your email ID and nd the SNAP 2020 con rmation email. Click on the hyperlink provided in email.
 Login to your SNAP account with SNAP ID allotted in the email and enter the security code.
 Change your SNAP Password and formulate a new one based on password guidelines mentioned on the page.
 The payment page will be loaded.
 Read the payment instructions with wide eyes.
 Proceed to the payment gateway and complete the transaction.
 Take a print out for future reference.
You would also have to register for your preferred symbiosis institute differently and complete the admission form
including the details of the same.

Symbiosis International University had introduced new alterations in the overall format of SNAP form 2020. To prepare
