ACTION CHARADES!
Language: walk, float, climb, swim, slip, trek, run, chase
Resources: Action charade sentence strips

a) Cut out the strips.


b) Demonstrate the first sentence, or ask one of your children to mime for you.
Elicit what you’re/they’re doing from the rest of the class.
c) Ask for a volunteer to mime the next sentence. The class guess what they’re
doing.
d) To add a competitive edge to the activity, divide the class into teams. Nominate
a member of one of the teams to mime the next sentence. The team that
guesses the mime wins a point and nominates another team member to do the
next mime.
