Abstract
The annually organized program by CESS Nepal was held on 7th to 10th of Magh
in IOE Pulchowk campus premises. We, 4 students from Pokhara University
went for the participation. The aim of the participation is to show the talent in
academic field and creativity to transform knowledge into its application.

Introduction
After long time, we, the students participated on Concrete Mix Design
Challenge and quiz competition conducted in Pulchowk campus. The objective
of our participation is to show our creativity along with gaining knowledge
from relevant field which were presented during the programme. CESS Nepal
had also conducted paper bridge competition, painting and photography
competition, slide and presentation competitions inside the campus premises.
So, we had the privilege of watching other contestant’s performance there.

Methodology
We presented our proposal on 5 th of Magh to the Directors office and it got
passed on 6th of Magh after the arrival of official proposal letter from CESS
Nepal. On 6th of Magh, we travelled to Kathmandu on bus of 11am and reached
there around 5pm. Then four of us went to Pulchowk Campus for registration
of team and Quiz. After that we all stayed in Api Hotel.
On 7th to 10th of Magh we remained busy in mix design. During that time, we
also had our Quiz competition. After the completion of the program we
returned Pokhara by bus from Kathmandu.

Discussion
There were around 18 teams registered for the mix design competition. After
slump test and strength test Team pulchowk and Team Nec were awarded
with 1st and 2nd prizes respectively. We had got chance to know about other
models also. Our Quiz team secured 4th position among 5 teams in first round.
There were around 14 teams involved for the quiz competition.

Conclusion
Hence, our participation to the mix design competition and quiz became so
fruitful and we had gained a lot of knowledge from there which would be
helpful in future.
