Buena Vibra Farm Progress Report

What are some ways we can contribute to the progress and

development of the Buena Vibra Farm?

Buena Vibra

Call the owner of the farm, Rafael Rodríguez, to gather the necessary information to carry
out the volunteer hours and coordinate an appropriate date to visit it.
Visit the farm and work together to fulfill the tasks assigned by the owner. The tasks
included coffee harvesting and processing.

Divide the parts to work for the Progress Report among the group members. Then,
proceed to redact the Progress Report using a Google Drive document so that the group
members can work on it simultaneously.
Correct the final details of our project and submit our completed version.

This was the first time I’ve been working in a farm. Personally, I saw it pretty interesting on how
people live that syle. They see their selves as rich people because how much stuff they have and
honestly the have reason. I liked a lot this experience and specially when were collecting coffee and
how he was telling us some facts and stories about his farm.

The weather that day was not on our favor and because of that we did not plant seeds. Therefore,
that was something I would have like to do. I wished to talk more and ask more questions to the
farmer.

I did my best part recollecting the coffee seeds. The farmer liked all the seeds I recalled; he said that
they were fresh. We counted to see how many cups of coffee I recollected, and we got like 3 cups
of coffee from my basket.

The most enjoyable part of the project is to see how the farmer lives and how he works every day.
He told us how he passed hurricane, Maria. He said that the farm got destroyed, but he got saved by
it too. He had resources to survive thanks to the farm because he could not leave his house for two
weeks because of the hurricane.

The least enjoyable part of the project was going out in the mid of a pandemic. That means we need
to take care of ourselves with masks with high temperatures. The most stressful part was seeing my
partners first and seeing them just mid face because of the masks.

If the pandemic does not disappear and we are still getting virtual classes, it helps the farms in
other ways and not going physically in there because that is not healthy. For example, we can bring
them some equipment or make some promotions.
