Answer the following questions:

1. Search 3 websites and evaluate these website in terms of readability,

accessibility, performance using an online tool.

A. Onlinevideoconverter.com
OnlineVideoConverter is a fast and reliable conversion tool that can turn your
video into an mp3 file in a matter of seconds, depending on your internet speed. You
can use it on your desktop computer or smartphone, and it has no limit on permitted
downloads, so you can use this website as much as you want. OnlineVideoConverter is
a perfectly fine website, and it can be used to satisfy your conversion needs.
Unfortunately, it messed up its functionality and became slower. When you press a
“Convert now” button that can end up redirecting you to another website that may or
may not contain disturbing content that is unsuitable for children. No one likes sneaky
redirects, which can be described as irritating at best. In some cases, they might be
outright dangerous for your PC or any other device.

B. Jdoodle.com

C/C++, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, HTML and many more. First of all it is not a
complete IDE, The aim of JDoodle is to provide a quick and easy way to execute few
lines of code online. The aim is to provide a tool which will help execute, save and share

project/Class to execute for small programs. JDoodle is an online education tool. The

C. Prepostseo.com

Prepostseo is a wordpad/text editor online tool. The user interface of the online
Wordpad is incredibly easy. Whether you are a student, working professional, teacher,
or any other user who wishes to edit content, this tool would work perfectly for you. Let
us go through the steps you need to complete to gain more understanding. There is a
section in which you have to paste the required content or write it from the start. The
tool has a list of quality writing/editing options and you can modify a document on end to
end basis. For instance, there is an option to insert a table as well. At times, corporate
professionals have to insert tables at the last minute prior to submission. This online text
editor is not dependent on installations in any manner. It can be easily accessed on
multiple devices with internet connectivity without any installation steps.

The best thing about online tools is that they do not have device based usage
restrictions. When you are using offline tools, they can only be used after the installation
has been done successfully on a device. If you wish to use the tool on three devices
simultaneously, the installation would be done on each of them.

2. Imagine you have been asked to produce a prototype for the diary
system. What would be an appropriate prototyping to enable you to
test the design using the usability metrics specified, and why?

Interactive prototypes are a great way to implement usability testing into the early
stages of software development. Running usability tests on an interactive prototype can
avoid the kind of 11th hour headaches that make software designers’ and developers’
blood run cold, last-minute reworks, buggy launches and worse, loss of stakeholder
confidence and funds. But for usability testing to work, it has to be done right. Running
tests on interactive prototypes requires a different approach to testing coded software.

LEARNING ACTIVITY 3

Outstanding usability and user experience do not just happen by accident. To

create a product that demonstrates impeccable UX, usability testing, user scenarios and
user requirements have to be incorporated into the design-development process from
the outset. The last thing you want to be doing is fumbling through a last-minute
usability test when your website or app is already coded and waiting to launch.
Prototypes provide early-stage opportunities to check functionality, design, UX,
marketing and business strategy, before coding your final solution. It can be up to 100
times more expensive to change a coded feature than a prototype.
