UNEMPLOYMENT AND POVERTY TO FILIPINO FAMILIES

Poverty is one of the main problems of the Filipino families. There are many
reasons why the people in the Philippines are now suffering. Since, education is not free
in our country, lack of education is one of the factors of poverty. Also, the lack of
discipline. One of the worst habit of Filipinos is the mañana habit, the prolonging of
things that could be done right away. In unemployment there’s a discrimination when it
comes in job searching, having no experience and lack of knowledge is a big factor of it.
One toxic Filipino culture is having a long family ties that one family could live in one
house. Also, having the indebtedness attitude gives big impact in poverty, because you
need to pay your indebtedness first, before achieving your dreams. Lastly, having no job
vacancies is also a problem that causes poverty because they only favoring those
people who are educated more than those who are not. If only our education and health
system in our country is free, for sure poverty could be lessen.
