Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is that all children are unique and need an inspiring educational
environment where they can grow physically, emotionally, socially and mentally. It is my
goal to create this type of setting for my student to reach their full potential. I believe in a
combination of Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory and Vygotsky theory of play.
Bronfenbrenner theory is the idea that a person’s development is affected by everything
that surrounds their environment. As school is a main part of your child’s day I believe the
environment impacts their lives and want to create one filled with kindness and nurture.
Learning takes time and is a process that can be achieved through guidance and play
because it allows children to make deeper connection. Student need to have hands on
learning, be curious, make choices and practice their skills in a safe environment.
