Loyola University Chicago to Host Super Smash Bros eSport

Tournament to support those affected by poverty and homelessness

Chicago, IL, January 30, 2021—Loyola University Chicago will be hosting an eSport tournament,
called Super Smash Bros Ultimate Throwback, on Saturday, February 13th. The tournament is
90’s themed and has a $5 entry fee for participants with a guarantee of at least two games.
Participants and spectators will enjoy the tournament 100% virtually through online play and
streaming through Twitch. The tournament is in partnership and is supporting The Night
Ministry, a Chicago-based non-profit that works to provide housing, health care, and human
connection to members of our community struggling with poverty or homelessness. All proceeds
will go towards The Night Ministry. Sign-ups are now open.

Loyola University Chicago was founded in 1870 and is one of the nation’s largest Jesuit, Catholic
