Typically, graduating students have a variety of post-secondary plans. You are to choose ONE of
the following three assignment options to complete, which will further your understanding
about the path you are most curious/likely to follow next year.

Follow these steps:

❏ I enjoy partying, playing sports, being active, eating food,
shopping, making money
❏ I want a single lifestyle with a nice stable, high paying job,
travel around the world and lots of free time by my side
❏ I’m good at things that involve being physically active, good at
doing school, good at sleeping, good at having fun, good at
making people laugh
❏ Upside: Work only three-four times a week, high paying
salary, get to travel the world
❏ Downside: Many years of post-secondary education to get
through, messed up sleeping schedule, away from family
quite a lot, mandatory 10 year service in the military after
graduation
❏ Job Duties/Responsibilities: Fly a range of Canadian Armed
Forces (CAF) aircraft in a variety of roles: Search and
Rescue, Fighter, Transport, Tactical Helicopter, or Maritime
Patrol. Primary responsibilities of a Pilot are to plan
communicate, coordinate and execute tactical missions in
support of civil authority or military objectives, such as
humanitarian and disaster relief, and air intercept operations.
They work with sophisticated technology for precision tactical
navigation systems, advanced communication systems,
sensor systems, counter-measure systems and weapon
delivery systems.

❏ Future Outlook: There will always be a shortage of pilots in
the world and it will continue to be a high paying job because
of it
❏ Lifestyle Factors: smoking, Alcohol consumption, and night
flying, pilots work in conditions that lead to circadian
dysrhythmia, mild hypoxia, and exposure to reduced
atmospheric pressure, low humidity, noise, vibration, cosmic
radiation, and magnetic fields.

have enough flight time.
