Essential Question
How can we inform our community about the circulatory system?
*Note: The circulatory system encompasses the heart, blood, & blood vessels.
Overview
For this project, you will create some form of art that is informative to our community
about a topic related to the circulatory system. Art can range from paintings, drawings,
videos, infographics, etc. Art can be used to inform our community on features and
functions of the circulatory system or can emphasize the pathophysiology of the heart, in
which you emphasize how a disease/injury affects the functioning of the heart.
Goals
1. Inform our community in a creative way about the circulatory system
ii. The path blood takes through the heart and the systemic &
pulmonary circuits
Specifications
This project is meant to be very open-minded, where you can choose a creative way in
which you would like to inform on a topic that you feel is important to inform our
community on that is related to the circulatory system! However, since this is an art
competition, there has to be some criteria used to evaluate each other’s art. Here’s the
following things that should be evident in your project:
Informative
The art informs the community in at least one of the following areas:

Creative
The art depicts a unique way of informing the community on the circulatory system.
Craftsmanship
The artwork was done with care and attention to detail and neatness. Multiple drafts were
created and revised before the final product.
Timely Submission
Drafts and final product were completed and submitted on time (refer to due dates in
milestones section).
Milestones
I. Draft 1
By Friday, November 13, 2020, you should have a rough draft that you can bring to
class and receive feedback on from your peers.
II. Draft 2

By Monday, November 16, 2020, you should have an edited version that takes into
account the feedback that you received from your peers. You should also be
prepared to bring that edited version to class as you will be receiving feedback from
the class a whole.
