Internet of Things (IoT)

Internet of things is the technology that allows joint use, simple of lot of electronic

elements connected to Internet, one of the most important aspects of IoT is the open

character. The Different devices connected will not be limited to be integrated by the

manufacturer, but can be made by accessing new services and solutions uniting different

manufacturers.

If we were to give a definition of Internet of things probably better to say that it is a

network that connects physical objects making use of the Internet. Objects are worth a

specialized hardware that allows you to not only Internet connectivity, also permit

specific events program based on the tasks they are given; The Internet of Things is the

future of technology that can make our lives more efficient.

Doesn’t exit a specific type of device connected to the Internet of Things objects. Instead

you can classify them as objects that act as sensors and objects that perform active

actions; In any case, the principle is the same and the key is remote operation. Each of the

objects connected to the Internet has a specific IP and using that IP can be accessed stop

instructions. Also, you can contact an external server and send data to collect.

“To make the Internet of Things useful, we need an Analytics of Things. This will mean

new data management and integration approaches, and new ways to analyze streaming

data continuously.”(Davenport, 2015)

Anyway, it is the private sector where the Internet of Things is becoming increasingly

popular.

The industry of mass production: the machinery that is responsible for controlling

manufacturing processes, assemblers robots, temperature sensors, production control,

everything is connected to the Internet in more and more companies allowing centralize

control of the infrastructure.

Control of urban infrastructure control traffic lights, bridges, railways, urban cameras.

More and more cities implement this type based on the Internet of Things to allow

monitoring the proper functioning of its structures in addition to more flexibly adapt its

operation to new events infrastructure.

Environmental control: one of the areas that are having more success the Internet of

things, it allows access from virtually anywhere weather information, weather sensors,

and earthquakes.

Health sector: more and more clinics and hospitals around the world rely on systems that

allow them to health personnel actively monitor patients ambulatory and non-invasively.

There are also applications of the Internet of Things for transport, the energy industry,

and virtually all business sectors; the steep homes, a place that is probably a matter of

time before we see the great explosion of IoT.

One of the requirements of the Internet of things is that the devices should be small, and

we knew that the processors had to switch processors, has to be much smaller and less

consumption. No matter whether simple or underpowered, what prevails above all are

those two points.

The processor and platform are responsible for 'managing' the information, but it must

come from other devices: sensors. It is the hardware element that interacts between our

technology and the environment, capturing the data we want.

We already have data stored on a small computer, but this is not powerful enough to

process them quickly. Move that information to another computer via a communication

channel. We talk for example LAN connection via Ethernet or wireless transmission

through mobile connectivity, depending on the requirements at each location.

According to Hans Vestberg, "If a person is connected to the network, changes his life.

But if all things and objects are connected, the world is changing. "

My experience on this topic been through of time to see how the Internet makes every

time more part of our lives and how through him we can make different task and

activities such as help simplify systems and facilitate our lives certain way. With this

essay we can see the social, Economic aspects, Internet of things system can bring

benefits to the world and how you can make this possible in homes mainly.
