Due to COVID-19, Country singers perform ACM’s from home
Academy of Country Music postpones the awards due to COVID-19

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The pandemic has caused so many organizations to postpone or cancel
events that many American look forward to every year. The Academy of Country Music
postponed the upcoming award show because of the spread of the virus. This did not stop artists
from performing their music in their homes.

The awards show was supposed to be April 5, but in its place “ACM Presents: Our Country” on
CBS where artists will perform acoustic music and talk about their quarantine. ACM wanted to
present mini live concerts to viewers homes.

So many of these artists were on tour or planning a tour in the coming months but have had to
cancel or postpone. Not only are viewers getting a live concert from the ACM program, many
artists have been posting on social media or going live on Instagram to provide their fans new
music or a live performance.

Artists such as Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert, and Luke
Combs and more performed on the program. They expressed their thanks to the healthcare
heroes and everyone that is helping flatten the curve of this pandemic. So many artists came out
to support and perform the show lasted about three hours.

As for the awards ceremony, it has been put on pause and the results will be kept `top secret until
September 16 when the ACM awards will be celebrated.
