connecting the instrument to α power so urce, carefully read
the following about li ne voltages, p owe r cords, and fuses .

L I NE VO LTAG E
The inst rument is capa ble of continuous operation using
input voltages that r ange from 90 V to 250 V nominal at
fre qu encies from 48 H z to 440 H z.

POWER CO R D
Α d etac hable t hree-wire power co rd with α three-con tact
plug is provided with each instrument to pe rmit connection
to both t he power source and protective ground. The p lug
protective-ground contact connects (through t he protective-
grou nd co nductodto the accessible metal p arts of the instru-
ment. For electrical-shock protection, insert this plug only
into α power outlet that has α securely grou nded protective-
grou nd contact .

This inst ru men t is shipped with the requ ired powe r cord
as or dered by the customer . Available powe r-cord informa-
tion is ill ust rated in Figure 2-1, an d part numbers are listed in
Section 5 of this ma nual . Contact your Tektronix represen-
tative or local Tektro nix Field Office fo r add itio nal powe r-
cord informatio n. 2. P ress in a nd slig htly rotate the fuse-hol der cap coun-
terclockwise to release it .

The instrument fuse h olier is k)cated on the rear panel
(see F igure 2-2) and contains the line fu se . The following
procedure ca n be used to verify that the proper fuse is in-
stalled or to install α replacement fuse . 4. Verify proper fuse value (1 .0 Α, 250 V, slow b low) .

Always maintain adequate instrument cooling. The venti-
lation holes on both sides of the instrument cabinet and on
