MIDTERM EXAM IN ONCOLOGY NURSING

Working Situation: “Cindy is a 38-year old married mother of three girls (ages 2.4 and 5) who has just

core biopsy. She decided to have a mammogram after learning that her maternal aunt and grandmother
were diagnosed with breast cancer 8 years ago at age 50. Her surgeon has asked you to meet with her
to offer education and support in making sense of her diagnosis and expected treatment. Her medical
history is only for starting menstruation early, at age 10, and being chronically 20 to 30 pounds
