GUIDELINES FOR PRACTICAL TRAINING REPORT ADS 667/ADM 665 (20%)

Here are some of the important guidelines with regard to your practical training report

Your practical training report should have among others:-

a) Declaration Form

b) Acknowledgement

c) Table of Content

d) Chapter 1
Introduction of the organization

Include among others:


 the background of the organization
 objectives, and company policy or organisation policy, mission and vision of
the organization
 organization structure, core business of the organization
 industrial training objectives and scope.

(Suggested no of pages: 3-5 pages)

e) Chapter 2
Demonstrates technical knowledge/activities experienced by the students
during the practical training and relate theory with activity in terms of:
 Teamwork
 Decision making
 Society/Organization

(Suggested no of pages: 12-18 pages)

f) Chapter 3
Recommendation/Conclusion/Idea/Problem Solving
 Report any problem encountered throughout the Industrial Training
 Provide solution for improvement
 Summary of discussion for all chapters. Students need to provide clear and
solid conclusion that reflects activities done during Industrial Training.
 Explain on how the Industrial Training meets the objective

PRACTICAL TRAINING REPORT FORMAT

A. GENERAL INFORMATION

Final report must be prepared and typed clearly. Writing format must be standardized
based on the given format given.

1. Font type and Size

Use Arial, 11

2. Spacing

Report must be typed in 1.5 spacing. The main section (chapter) must begin on a
new page.

3. Reference

Not part of pagination.

All references must be relevant, cited and placed after the final chapter of the report.

Use APA format.

4. Paging (Chapter 1-3)

Min 20 pages

Max 30 pages

SCOPE OF TASK

To ensure that the training is of benefit, student is advised to make effective use of his/her
time in the organisation. This is especially important as student may be allocated to only one
department or shuffled to different departments for multi-tasking experience. The list below
provided an outline of the areas in which University and Faculty expects practical training to
be provided and achieved.
