You can easily generate filler text using lorem ipsum sites, but if you’re running Microsoft Word

2010, you don’t even need to open your browser. You can easily generate filler text (handy when
you’re working on layouts) in three styles.

As tech blogger Helen Bradley points out, there are three different functions you can use. For
each of them, the first number is the number of paragraphs, the second is the number of
sentences in that paragraph. Just type the command and hit Enter:

 Type =rand(1,2) for text in the style of help information. This is helpful if you want
something that approximates English text.
 Type =lorem(1,2) for text in classic lorem ipsum format. This can be good if you don’t
want to focus on the content.
 Type =rand.old(1,2) for repeated versions of the quick brown fox pangram.
