Commitment to the Profession F D C B A

Comments:

The lesson plan was submitted on time.

No issue on punctuality in TP attendance was observed.

Fakhera did not check the class attendance prior to anything else in her lesson. The teacher is advised
to check the class attendance, especially that this is the first period of the pupils. She is also advised
further to remind the pupils of the classroom rules and proper behaviour during the class proceeding.

Planning for Learning F D C B A

A semi-detailed lesson plan was prepared by Fakhera. It is advised that she submit a detailed lesson
plan so as for us to see what she was going to say and what the learners were to reply as well.

The objective of her lesson plan made use of measurable verbs. This goes without saying that the
Bloom Taxonomy insofar as the measurable verbs are concerned was adhered to.

The teacher began her undertaking by giving the class a quiz since this is a review lesson. Link was
sent to the pupils. 15 minutes was spent just to prepare for the link.

Nearpod was used to carry out the review lesson. Identifying the parts of a multiplication equation was
done through socialized recitation. The teacher was able to monitor the students’ responses.
Managing Learning F D C B A
Comments:

The teacher should not forget doing all the necessary preparation activities before the lesson should be
introduced such as checking the attendance, giving the class some energizer or motivating activities
prior to the start of the review, singing the UAE national anthem, reminding the class about the
classroom rules, etc.

The objectives of the review was made known to the students.

1
The teacher was able to maximize student participation by calling them in random.

Fakhera’s voice still needs more projection.

Fakhera had good control/management of the noise of the pupils.

The teaching is supposed to be for 50 minutes. This did not materialise. The class began doing the first
activity 15 minutes past 9:20 and the class ended at 10:04. It is suggested that Fakhera make use the
whole period in teaching.

Implementing Learning F D C B A
Comments:

Use of nearpod was factored in in the teaching, but it seems there was little problem with it.

The activities were student-centered. Apart from the fact that the teacher able to encourage students to
participate in the activities, she also gave the students the role of a reader.

The organization of the lesson needs to improve as it was so difficult to determine which constitutes
what.

There was not enough focus and time given to the presentation and explanation of the concept. Most of
the time, the pupils were simply led to answering activities. The teacher should have processed well
giving of feedback to pupils’ work.

Assessment F D C B A
Comments:
Feedback was given based on the students’ response to the activity.

Enough activities (quizzes) were implemented to carry out the objective of the lesson.

Reflection on Practice F D C B A
Fakhera has to show next observation some activities for the Preparation Phase (attendance checking,
giving motivational activities related to the lesson, etc.)

Next observation, the teacher must give a new lesson, not a review lesson.
