1.      What is Drug?

Drugs are chemical substances used or otherwise used to promote physical or mental
well-being in the care, treatment, prevention, or diagnosis of illness. Also they affect the
way your brain functions, how you feel and act, your understanding and your senses
can be influenced by them.

2.      When are drugs harmful?

We used drugs as a treatment for our diseases or maintenance. But excess


usage of drugs can lead us to “DANGER”. Many drugs or medications have intoxicating
effects that contribute to abuse of them and adverse effects. It can be associated to
overdose and drug dependence are one of the harmful effect of drug misuse. For short,
Drug can help you feel better but misusing it can also lead you to your own death.

3.      What is drug abuse?

Drug abuse also known as “substance abuse” refers to using of legal or illegal
drugs beyond its expected use. People abuse drugs due to different reasons for
example peer pressure, ease stress, feel good and lastly is to escape reality. In short
drug abuse, is when you take drugs more than its prescription.

4.      What is Environmental education?

Environmental education is a process that encourages people to discuss


environmental concerns, participate in finding solutions, and take action to change the
environment. In other words, environmental education helps us to increase our
awareness and knowledge regarding to environmental issues.

5.      What is CHED Memorandum Order No. 33 Series Of 2009?

 Integration of Environmental Education in the Tertiary Education Curriculum Particularly


the Civic Welfare and Training Service Component of the National Service Training
Program.  In accordance with pertinent provisions of Republic Act no. 7722 otherwise
known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994” and pursuant to Republic Act No. 9512
otherwise known as “An Act to Promote Environmental Awareness through
Environmental Education and for other purposes”, all CHEDRO Directors,
Presidents/Heads of Public and Private Higher Education Institutions are hereby
enjoined to integrate environmental education particularly in the NSTP-CWTS and LTS
components
6.       Have a personal reflection of the Song “Anak”

The one that truly loves us is no other that is our beloved parents. “ANAK” is not
new to me because here in our “bukid” people always listen that songs. This music is
very meaningful and it talks about reality how our parents loves us. Even though we
committed a mistake they still accept and forgive us. Personally I can relate into that
music because during my high school days I committed I mistakes I thought my parents
wouldn’t forgive me. But they still forgive me, we just need to give them time to heal or
internalize everything. Because of that happening I can say that parent knows best and
they are the one who never turns there back on us during our darkness time. We should
really appreciate every little thing they done for us.

9.    8 Importance of Environmental Education

1. All major natural resources in the country are in grave danger of irreparable
damage.
2. A society cannot survive if its natural resources are rendered unfit for use by its
people.
3. The only hope of salvaging this grave situation is by making the young aware
that they need to proactively begin to protect the environment they will inherit.
4. Science and Technology can help in a limited way but cannot deliver it.
5. It is moral and ethical education for changing people’s attitude.
6. To protect children in polluted regions, environmental education represents a
relevant means of prevention.
7. It is a need of the time to propose environmental education delivered with moral
concept.
8. It is conceived to sustain participation of the citizens especially the youth
particularly in
a. combating ill effects of climate change.
