Personal Statement:

I am a Finance Major in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara

University. I am currently on track to graduate in the spring of 2021, where I
hope to advance my financial career in the biotechnology field. I believe that
my past skills and willingness to work hard will enable me to gain success
within this industry.

My experience in the biotech industry came in the summer of 2019, where I

worked as a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern at BioMarin
Pharmaceutical. I learned the many aspects regarding Financial Analysis
furthermore strengthening my analytical, presentational, and project
management skills. My work at BioMarin was a sentiment to my desire to help
others live a fulfilling, healthy life. I hope my knowledge and skills may
continue to provide a better life for those in need.

In addition to my internship at BioMarin, I have taken an administrative role at

my university. I have worked for Campus Recreation for over a year, organising
many activities for over 200 students. Said role has helped me become more
confident in my planning and consulting skills, which I believe will be very
helpful for my future.

Outside of my past work experiences, I have spent time doing volunteer work.
One of my most unforgettable experiences volunteering came from when I
went to Haiti in the summer of 2016. There, I spent ten days volunteering with
other peers from my school. This experience helped me understand the
importance of learning about other cultures. Also, to be able to adapt to
different situations outside of your comfort zone. I saw this as a pivotal
learning experience in helping me branch out and seek new opportunities to
help and learn.

Many say that you never stop learning, that there is no limit to the amount of
knowledge you can obtain. Through all of my academic and professional
career, I have continually learned more things than I could ever imagine.

Sincerely,
