Cardon Children’s Medical Center

1400 S Dobson Rd,
Mesa, AZ 85202

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Kylie Wong, I am writing to express my interest in regards to a position open for the
NICU. Banner stands out by the mission to making health care easier, so life can be better. By
working to integrate the holistic needs of patients with advancement and innovation, it cultivates
a patient centered care environment to which I strive to make contributions.

Currently, I am a Registered Nurse at Overlake Hospital Medical Center. I began my career here
in February 2019 as a part of the Vizient New Graduate Nurse Residency Program in their level
III NICU. Previously in December 2018, I graduated from the University of Arizona College of
Nursing. I finished with two degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in
Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies and Human
Development. My greatest strengths are my work ethic and ability to cooperate with a variety of
people and personalities in a collaborative setting. I intend to use my knowledge and skills that I
have gained thus far to diligently and passionately continue learning and growing in this
profession. I believe that my experiences throughout college and this far in my career would
make me a great addition to Banner. During my senior practicum in the NICU as well as my first
year as a new graduate resident, I have learned how to balance time management and patient
needs, as well as teamwork.

After more than a year working in this setting, I feel that I have gained a solid foundation in
caring for level II infants. I am hoping to take the skill sets and knowledge I have learned during
this time, and be able to move into a higher acuity setting. I want to continue challenging myself,
using critical thinking skills, and be in a high pace environment. My dedication and passion to
this patient population, as well as my desire to continue to grow as a nurse are reasons I believe
could make me a great asset to Cardon Children’s Medical Center at Banner.

I am extremely passionate about the NICU and even before nursing school began I knew this is
where I wanted to work. My passion has continued to grow through my first year as a NICU
Nurse. I enjoy environments that challenge me and I will bring my energy and determination to
this position every day. Please let me know if you have any questions about my experiences or
goals through email at kwonng@email.arizona.edu or by phone at (360) 710-0856. Thank you
for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Kylie Wong
