Andrés Manuel López Obrador (Tepetitán, Macuspana, Tabasco, November 13, 1953) is a
Mexican politician and political scientist, national president of the National Regeneration
Movement (MORENA) political party, of which he is also founder and former president of his
National Council.

During his political career, he has served as state president of the PRI in Tabasco, national
president of the PRD, head of government of the Federal District and candidate for the
Presidency of Mexico for the Coalition for the Good of All in the federal elections of Mexico
in 2006 and by the Progressive Movement coalition in the 2012 elections
