Subject: Request for a new A/C unit for Transmission Room at Gokulam - regarding.

Presently only 3 No’s of Split AC-units are installed in Transmission room at

Gokulam, at least four AC-units are required for alternate changing over of AC units with Two
AC-units working at a time to maintain proper temperature. When all 3 AC units are switched on
also the temperature is insufficient.

There are 9 No’s of STM-16 MADM/ADM’s are presently working and more
no’s are expected in near future.

All the 3G & 2G BTS of Mysore Urban are working in the three new MADMs.
These new MADMs are very sensitive. Tejas, who is the vendor of these MADMs advised that
the room temperature should be at least 20 degree Celsius. Otherwise the character of the CPU
changes and life of the system would be reduced.

Hence it is requested to arrange to procure and install one split A/C unit of 1.5T
immediately in Transmission Room, Gokulam.

Subject: Scrapping and Replacement of life expired Split AC-Units and Installation of additional
Split AC in Transmission Room at Gokulam and Metgalli TE regarding.

1. Scrapping and Replacement old Split AC-Units.

It is hereby requested to kindly arrange for scrapping of below mentioned Life

expired Split AC-Units installed in Transmission room at Gokulam at the earliest please:

Due to Low –cooling, frequently transmission systems ports (SFP, Ethernet) are going
faulty hence replacement of life expired AC-units mentioned above are absolutely necessary.

2. Installation Additional Split AC-units in Transmission Room Gokulam Regarding:

Presently only 3 No’s of Split AC-units are installed in Transmission room at
Gokulam, at least four AC-units are required for alternate changing over of AC units with Two
AC-units working at a time to maintain proper temperature. Hence it is hereby requested for
arranging installation of additional Two numbers of Split AC-units of 1.5 TR capacities at the
earliest possible please.
There are 6 No’s of STM-16 MADM/ADM’s are presently working and more
no’s are expected in near future.
As per AC- AMC Vendor Suggestion, Five number of Split AC units are required
in Transmission Room at Gokulam.
On 18-04-2016 Out of 3-Ac units installed only one unit was working. Upon
complaint to AMC Vendor Two faulty units were repaired on 20-04-2016 by 12:30 Hours.
Continuing to work under present situation may lead to collapse of transmission systems due to
high temperature and hence disturbance in the working traffic. Each MADM-16 costs around 3.5
Lakhs. Considering the heavy loss due to traffic disturbance and equipment cost, arrangement of
additional AC-units and Replacement of Life expired AC-units may please be made at the
earliest possible.
