information therein.
Transversal • Basic skills in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,
Competences and different reference citation software programs are preferable.
• Participants must be capable of documenting and reporting on experimental
protocols, results, and conclusions.

7. Discipline Objectives (Based on the cumulated specific Competences)

7.1. General Objective This course aims to provide the participant with a broad understanding
of research, such as the research-related terms, types of medical
research, stages of a research project, writing theses, and writing and
publishing research papers.
7.2. Specific Objectives At the end of this course, participants will
• become familiar with the different research-related vocabulary, such
as research, academic journal, review article, abstract, and thesis,
• learn about the different medical research types, and
• learn how to conduct research, write scientific papers and theses, and
criticize other research.
