Should schools give homework

When you talk about schools there is indeed a home work , from centures but not from now ,
homework have been essiantial from the year of 1905 , Horace Mann, a 19th century American
politician and educational reformer, traveled to Prussia in 1843 and attended the Volksschulen.
This visit inspired Horace Mann to bring homework into the American education system. It is
often thought that the Venetian teacher Roberto Nevilis invented homework as a punishment
for his students in 1905 , but the truth is that homework has good impacts on students and also
bad , Doing homework can be difficult and sometimes takes a lot of time. However, at the same
time doing homework can be beneficial and enjoyable. There are three reasons why homework
should be given. First, teachers are able to know how students are doing easily through
checking the students’ homework. Second, doing homework can stimulate the interest of
studying; and finally students may comprehend better and receive high marks through doing
the homework the teachers have assigned. First of all, homework is like a detector, teacher is
able to know how students are doing through checking the students’ homework . The Benefits:
The first benefit of homework is that it allows students and teachers to work more closely
together. They can discuss their assignments or any problems that they are having with parts of
their textbooks, before or after classes.The second benefit is that it can bring families closer
together as students may ask their parents or siblings for help on their homework. Not only will
this help the students get a better understanding of their work with any parts they are stuck on,
it will also allow parents to get more involved in their child's educational life.Thirdly, doing
homework will prepare students for the big end tests. If a child does poorly on an assignment
then they will learn what is necessary to do well on the next test without being punished. It also
provides students with the opportunity to practice at what it takes to be successful in school.
Like they say, practice makes perfect.Doing homework is also a great way to develop
responsibilities. By being assigned work one day and knowing that it has to be done by the next
day, they will develop a sense of punctuality by turning their work in on time.And finally it
allows parents to see how their children are being educated and they can develop a better idea
of how they can help their child. However, some parents, students and even some teachers feel
that after 7-8 hours of lessons in school, it is unfair to expect students to come home and work
for another three hours. So that means going from a three to seven hour home work to a
homework just as simply and doesn’t take time and a students home work that could differ
from the other , because as a teacher your correcting your students mistake and not all
students may have the same mistakes , homework is beneficial to a student because it gives
them more practice in the subject matter, which further enhances their education. Also,
homework gives the student a chance to identify areas that they are confused in so they can
ask the teacher about them the next day. There isn’t enough time in a class for education to be
personalized, so homework is the student’s effort into bettering their education. Children
should definitely have homework. It helps them increase their skills in the subject they are
learning. If they are having trouble with the topic this is a way for them to get extra help. Just
having a lesson in class does not make it about the child. Homework is a way to let the teacher
know if the child is struggling with the topic, or if s/he is doing just fine. Teachers should not
stop giving homework, they should just give a little less. Going from a three hour or an hour
homework to a 20 mins homework and containing the perfect information for students to study
and solve , this way cheating in tests , quizzes etc.. Could decrease because of the perfect
knowledge of the student that isnt in need of cheating , Canada has claimed first prize in the
annual 2021 Best Countries Report. For the first time in the study's six year history, Canada has
been deemed the globe's best country overall, usurping incumbent country Switzerland, which
has held the title since 2017 , and that’s because of proper information that is being giving to
students if its in class or at home , solving exercises that contain new functions of learning ,
