Industrialising 3D printing for functional parts

Our customer, Additive Industries based in Eindhoven, has the ambition

to bring industrial additive manufacturing/3D printing for selected
high tech markets from lab to fab. The success of Additive Industries
has already shown trough the NOS news, BNR news radio and even
Queen Maxima is already familiar with Additive Industries. In an open
innovation environment Additive Industries unites world class equipment
manufacturers, material suppliers, designers, engineers, knowledge
institutes, industrial suppliers and end-users to design, experiment,
build and connect the next generation additive manufacturing systems
and solutions. As a result of success, they deliver the first metal printer
to Airbus. Additive Industries is growing, therefore we are looking for
an ambitious candidate for the position of:

MECHATRONICS
TEST ENGINEER
By revolutionary machine developer

The position
In this multidisciplinary team, he or she participates in the development of a
highly advanced industrial 3D metal printer form concept tot system realization.
The Mechanics Test Engineer is responsible for the operation of the system(s) being
integrated and for executing integrationg and design verification test in support of
the developmen team. An early preparation enables the Mechatronics Test Engineer
to successfully set up the integration- and test scenarios. He makes the Test
Specification for a number of the functional (sub)modules in close cooperation with
the senior system integrator. He also organizes, specifies and realizes the required
test infrastructure. After the integration of the modules the Mechatronics Test Engineer
conducts verification tests according to the Test Specification. The Mechatronics Test
Engineer analyzes the resulting test data and documents all performed tests in a Test
Report. From the experience he gains with the system and module integration and
design verification tests, he will be able to give important feedback to system design.
In the ramp up towards series production the Mechatronics Test Engineer contributes
to the specification and development of automated test for product qualification
purposes. Over time the responsibilities can shift towards delivering on-site customer
support for our systems.
