El País, November 13th, 1985. 

40 killed in fights between Muslims and Christians 
The holy war between Christian and Muslims militias, declared just after the Israeli evacuation from
Sidon, started with more than one month overdue. According to Admed Kalash, mayor of the city,
the provisional outcome of the fighting in the last 24 hours is 40 dead and approximately 100
wounded. 
At first limited to clashes between Lebanese army forces (Christians and unified militias) stationed in
the Christian quarters of eastern Sidon, and the regular army. Now, the fighting has worsened
rapidly with the participation of the armed forces, Muslim militias and fedayeen of the Palestinian
resistance. On the other hand, the Israeli army carried out its third incursion into a neighbouring
area since its evacuation from Sidon towards Shiite people yesterday.
Techniques: 
This paragraph was a challenge for its polysemic words. There were many words with many possible
meanings that it was hard to put them into context but I did.  I used a lot of adaptation. I searched
for a lot of cultural information. Also, I made use of Reformulation. I expressed some sentences
differently. In addition, I applied a little bit of literal translation.

Influence of education in work life
Education performs a vital role in your employment opportunities.
According to the author, education can keep us from unemployment. Therefore, people with higher
education are likely to get more jobs and keep them unlike those who dropout.
Furthermore, in two-year technical, trade or community colleges, students have found many career
options like auto and diesel, welding, horticulture, culinary, mortuary science, dental hygiene, early
childhood education and viticulture.
Also, education can influence when you want to get a higher position or change your career. In
most of the cases, semi-skilled or entry-level workers go back to college to get a new career or
extra certifications in the field they desire.
During academic degree courses, students learn several skills such as social interaction, group
interaction, critical thinking and communication in general. Hence, graduates will have more chances
of getting a job and perform it in a satisfactory way.
Not only colleges and universities teach you skills but also give talented and self-confident students
many resources as recommendation letters, networking opportunities with enterprises, CVs and
interview help.
La influencia de la educación en la vida laboral
La educación desempeña una función vital en tus posibilidades de empleo.
Según el autor, al educarse no habrá cabida para el desempleo. Por lo tanto, es probable que las
personas con nivel universitario consigan y conserven más trabajos que aquellos que abandonan su
educación.
Además, en institutos técnicos y universidades comunitarias, los estudiantes pueden encontrar
diversas opciones profesionales como automotriz y diésel, soldadura, horticultura, culinaria, ciencia
mortuoria, higiene dental, educación preescolar y viticultura.
La educación también puede influir al querer un ascenso o cambiar de profesión. En la mayoría de
los casos, los trabajadores poco especializados o principiantes vuelven a la universidad para estudiar
una nueva carrera o cursos en el ámbito que anhelan.
Durante los estudios universitarios, los alumnos aprenden muchas destrezas como interacción social,
interacción grupal, pensamiento crítico y comunicación en general. Por lo tanto, los egresados
tendrán más oportunidades de conseguir un trabajo y desempeñar funciones correctamente.
Las universidades no te enseñan habilidades si no también ofrecen a estudiantes sobresalientes y
seguros de sí mismos muchos recursos como cartas de recomendación, oportunidades de contacto
con empresas, currículos y preparación para las entrevistas.
