    Respected Professor Kristina,

    With 5 examination criteria, the assessment weightage is as follows. Assignment 1 is weighted


    5%; Assignment 2 is weighted 10%; Quiz #1 is weighted 35%; Project is weighted 10%; Final
    Exam is weighted 40%. With help of excel the weighted score is calculated for each student
    and each assessment. Each score is multiplied with their respective weightage. Weighted total
    Marks is calculated for each student using sum function in excel.
    The students were assigned to F if their final score falls in (0% - 49%); P if (50 – 59 %); C if
    (60 – 69%); D if (70 – 79%) and HD if (80 – 100%). Using IF function in excel, the final
    grade is assigned to each student.
    It is reported that 8 students have failed (F), 8 have passed (P), 8 has scored Credit (C) and 4 has
    received distinction (D) and High distinction (HD). The table and bar chart for the same is given
    below.
