Wind Tunnel Device Description:

The device is consisted of two parts: truck head and container Centrifugal fans placed in first-fourth
of the container in perpendicular to the air flowlines. Current generator linked with the fans so that
electricity power will be generated from the air flowlines when it passes through the fans and causing
fans rotation.

Once fans rotation started, we will get electricity power resulted from the generator that we use this
power as an additional power with no or minor losses as we will discuss it later in detail. The reason
behind installing the vans at the first fourth of the container was to ensure that air flowlines would not
separate from the container walls and stayed attached with the walls for longest distance as possible. As
we know that when the container’s walls roughness increased, air flowlines remain stuck with them that
is why we see the container’s walls corrugated and not smooth.

The Concept of the device

Recently, renewable energy has become one of the important energies in our daily life, as the idea
is that we make use of the lines that pass on the walls of the container and we generate electrical
energy from it that we can benefit from as charging the battery or operating some parts of the truck and
when placing the vans on the walls of the container we will draw attention to the importance of fuel
dispensing Gasoline, because when the truck was made in this way, it was made according to the best
possible capacity, and upon our study of this project, we noticed that when we put the vans on the
container walls, the obstruction force that is generated from the reaction force of the air action is less
than the obstruction force without fans. This indicates that the fuel exchange will theoretically decrease,
and in this case, I have benefited from the generation of electrical energy by means of air flowlines
without any losses

Device installation

When we assembled the parts of the device, we considered the streamlined body of the truck, as we
reduce the force of obstruction generated by the air.

The best location for the position of the van on the wall of the container was studied, where we
obtained the best results. The vans are placed at the beginning of the truck because it will keep the lines
of flow not separated. The van and we also took into account the change in the distance in the head of
the truck with the container, where a curved plate was placed above the head of the truck to reduce the
obstruction force due to the sudden change of area and this change in the area generates a high
handicap force which was reduced by the plate
The device in which the experiment was conducted

The name of the device the wind tunnel, which is a hollow tunnel from the inside that contains a van
at the end of the tunnel with different speeds to obtain different readings and new speeds to check the
benefit of the experiment and there is a lever in the middle of the device on which the truck has been
attached to find out the force of obstruction that results from the collision of air flowlines with the truck
and contains The device is on a manometer to read the pressure difference that occurs in the front and
rear of the truck.

The data and results mentioned in this experiment were read from several attempts and after the
required benefit, the aforementioned readings were taken where the values and results were
mentioned according to the laboratory reading recorded by the device and compared with charts.

When the truck was installed in the laboratory device, the pressure difference and the impedance force
were read by the device and the air temperature was read

The weight of the air, the air viscosity and the number of Reynolds, which were fixed in the form of
tables and ordered values, after which we proceeded to generate the electrical energy and mentioned it
with diagrams and extracted the percentage of the increase due to the obstruction force caused by the
found of the van where we connected the voltage meter device in parallel and the ammeter device
respectively after placing a resistance of 100 0 ohms, where the aforementioned results were recorded,
and we extracted from the voltage and current the power and the power was compared to the
impedance strength according to what is mentioned in the charts
