Nowadays, many graduates are unable to find their desire job despite having good results. This
situation led to a high rate of unemployment. The rising rate of unemployment among fresh
graduates is a growing concern in our country. Many people believe this phenomenon happens
mainly due to their attitude toward applying for jobs. Their opinion is entirely correct to a certain
extent, but the quality of education could also the reason why many fresh graduates unable to get
their desired jobs. I agree that graduates attitude such as demanding a high salary and being choosy
in job selection that can lead to unemployment among graduates but also think that the quality of
education that can be the reason why graduates difficult to get jobs.

Firstly, we all know that the main reason why newly graduated is unable to get a job is due to their
attitude when applying for a job. Some of the fresh graduates expect that they will get a higher
salary on their first job. So they demanded a high starting wage that is impossible to get. For
example, they wanted the same salary as the experienced co-worker that worked for years at the
company. As a result, they are unable to get their jobs and starting to seek other jobs instead.
Despite having a lot of job vacancies offered to newly graduates, unemployment among fresh
graduates will remain high due to their attitude toward applying for jobs.

Other than that, graduates nowadays being choosy in job selection is the other reason why
graduates unable to get their desire jobs. They want to work at a specific company only. For
example, graduates want to apply to a big, luxury company which offered a convenient workplace

regardless of how much the amount of salary they will receive. Waiting for a good offer will cost

their education. It is because every year a country produces more and more brilliant graduates. So
the chances to get a job will decrease. For example, They managed to finish their studies with flying
colors. However, the degree that he/she gets not recognizes at any company or the job of choice is
limited. As a result, they have to find work other than their expertise such as becoming a Grab driver
or Food Panda rider. Thus, this is seen sometimes the quality of education that graduates obtain
could affect them from getting jobs.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that unemployment among graduates today is caused by their

attitude themselves. However, external factors like the quality of education could also affect the
increasing rate of unemployment of graduates. So, graduates should try and find solutions to
overcome this issue to create economic stability. Therefore, I partially agree with the statement.
