Thanks for joining me again. In this lesson we will briefly cover how
change management theories came about. Change management theories have
emerged in response to dynamic and uncertain business
environments in the 90s, is organizations were introduced
in new technology and processes. They notice that people within these
organizations did not welcome every proposed change with open arms. The successful
adoption
of change was really low. In an attempt to address
resistance of unwelcome change, change management theories were born. They
introduced management to concepts
about human behavior in offer tools for overcoming resistance to change,
building trust with employees. And communicating the need in
the meaning behind these changes. In course four, will cover the seven
most prominent change management models. In the next lesson, you will learn about
two theories that explain our behavior in response to change. An emotional journey
