The study examined the effect of violent video game play on aggressive behavior in Emirati children aged 11-15 based on parental reports. Parents completed a survey with items from the Buss-Perry Aggression Scale measuring physical aggression, verbal aggression, and anger. Results showed high levels of physical and verbal aggression as well as anger, supporting the hypothesis that violent video game exposure correlates with increased aggressive behavior in children. The findings raise concerns about the wellbeing of Emirati youth and more research is needed on the topic.
