SOFIA’S ENVIROMENTAL

VALUE SYSTEM
The enviromental value systems is a particular wordview that shapes the ways that the
society or an indiviual, evaluate or perceives, all the enviromental issues that make up
our planet earth. we need to stop and think what will happen to us when we destroy
everything we have And then think what we can do in order to stop the extinction of our
planet.
Firstly one think that makes me very angry about the society were we live is that, they
don’t take care about nothing, they thing that the cuantity of garbage that they throw on
the Street or in nature areas are insignificant, but something that they don’t know is that
12 million tons of garbage ar thrown in the year in Colombia, not counting the garbage
that the comunity throw on the Street, and that only the 17% of that garbage it is
recycled. An anecdote ofr my day life is that one day my brother threw the plastic wrap
of a chocolate bar in the park and i told him to pick it up and he said no, the community
has that though in wich “oh no if I throw a piece of paper on the floor, nothing happens,
it just one”, just one? There are more tan 49 million of people in Colombia, and you
consider that you are the only person of those 49 million that has that ignorant thougth?
Know think how many people in the day says that, and not just with a plastic chocolate.
Imagine the amount of garbage is thrown away by just one person in a day, and then
think as a community, how much garbage its thrown away? Garbage takes longer to
deteriorate tan our own lives and the lives of our descendants and consecutively.
Secondly following cosequences of the aforementioned, actions that are no correct,
bring consequences that not only affect us not so directly but there will be cosequences
for the animals. I’m going to talk more specifically animals that live in the ocean, when
we throw garbage in to any plase in the world we don’t know what happen with it,
because of the air. Know think when you ar in the beach and you buy something to eat
ora n icecream, and you don’t pick up the garbage to the trash, and you left it on the
sand and because of the air that garbage ends in the ocean. Plastic carried by wáter is
dangerous, as it poses a serious threath to fish, seabirds, marines reptiles, and marine
mammals. Although it was initially assumed that most marine debris came directly from
discharges into the see, it is estimated that around four-fifths of marine debris comes
form windblown garbage from landfills. Many animals suffer and die as a result of the
presence of these wastes in their environment. In some cases, plastic waste passes
through the intestines of animals without doing them too much damage.
Finally, in conclusión if we want a place to live in good condition or not only that exactly
Because the planet earth is not ours, we do not have the reason to damage something
that is not ours, and in addition to that, only think about our well-being and the
advances that can be achieved over everything, regardless of what we have to do
while take care of the planet because if we continue as we are we will be left with
nothing.
