Feedback Received From Lesson Plans:

November 24, 2020 – Adjusting Lesson Plans

I am having a difficult time keeping up with my timeline of handing my lesson plans in on time. My TA
has suggested that I simplify what I would say instead of writing it verbatim. This allows the reader to
gain enough insight into my lesson plans without it being a lengthy document and creates a more
manageable goal for me to obtain.

November 26, 2020 – Feedback for Art: Creating Hedgehogs influenced by The Hat by Jan Brett
It was mentioned to input a sample picture of what the art lesson is about. This would help the reader
visually see what the project entails. Having an image inserted in my plan helps me to look back on what
I have previously taught and build upon those skills or ideas.

December 2, 2020 – Feedback for Gym Lesson: Throwing Practice.

It would be helpful to input a diagram of how the equipment in the gym will be set up and how I will be
spacing the students during the activity. This information would be vital if someone else was asked to
set up the gym or if someone else was teaching this lesson. For example, the lesson was based on
students practicing their throwing skills (overhand and underhand). Spacing students far enough apart is
a critical part of set up, as safety is a key element. Next time I create a lesson plan for physical
education, I will input a visual diagram to provide more clarity.

December 8, 2020 – Feedback for Science Lesson

There was an opportunity for me to switch my lesson plan from teaching small groups to the whole
class. I had the materials already prepared, which dealt with Christmas and the five senses. I needed to
adapt my lesson plan from teaching small groups to the whole class. My Teacher Associate mentioned
how educators are flexible and learn to adjust lessons to fit certain circumstances. We discussed how
important it was for me to reflect and document how I was able to adapt my lesson.
